Aloe Vera from Piplantri

ODD AD ODDITY

I spot this news today, talking about Piplantri, a village from India, planting trees and aloe vera plants. I was curious about their products.

ODDS

There is a sort of a movement on advertizing about planting trees. I feel like we started a bit before the Amazon´s disaster, while now, still drying our tears after the Australia .

“Day of Fire” on August 10, 2019, Brasil(click here)

They say there is always hope and I trust this, because Ethiopia, by example, they have managed to anticipate the future and take measures, to be precise, they managed to plant 353 million trees on Monday( click here).

I cannot say what Monday we talk about, nevertheless the article is from 29 of July 2019.

Let us see some facts about Ethiopia, wiki source: “Despite these improvements, it remains one of the world’s poorest countries.[33] In addition to poverty, Ethiopia faces hunger, corruption, weak infrastructure, and poor access to health and education (with an illiteracy rate of 51%), ranking in the worst quartile on the Human Development Index. The Ethiopian government’s respect for human rights also remained poor.”

Now, let us see some facts about Brasil: Brazil is the largest national economy in Latin America, the world’s ninth largest economy and the eighth largest in purchasing power parity (PPP) according to 2018 estimates. Brazil has a mixed economy with abundant natural resources. After rapid growth in preceding decades, the country entered an ongoing recession in 2014 amid a political corruption scandal and nationwide protests.

Now, I am happy to say that Ethiopia did a great job here, with very litlle resource. ” Ethiopia planted (click here)more than 353 million trees in 12 hours on Monday, which officials believe is a world record.”

Anyhow, before Ethiopia, there was a precedent in the same India.

More than 800,000 people in the state of Uttar Pradesh attempted to plant 50 million trees on Monday in an effort to get into the Guinness World Records. The article above is from July 2016.

Ok, so my conclusion is that the Monday is the day to plant trees, nevermind where, when as long as is past 2006 and congratulations on this amazing task, of planting 50 millions plus another quarter of million.

BACK TO PIPLANTRI VILLAGE

” A leading member of the village started the initiative in honor of his own daughter, who died a few years ago.” 13 June 2013 (click here)

” Shyam Sunder Paliwal( click here)…Kiran, Paliwal’s 16-year-old daughter, died in 2006 – a tragedy he marked by planting the burflower tree. He went on to channel his grief into a mission.” 11 October 2018 ( click here)

” For the people of Piplantri in the Rajsamand district of Rajasthan, the birth of a girl child meant bad news. Female foeticide and infanticide were not unheard of. This was mainly due to the hefty dowry system prevalent in the village. Enters social campaigner and ex-sarpanch of Piplantri village, Shyam Sunder Paliwal who envisioned a bright future for the girls. He believed that if the parents of newborn girls planted trees and nurtured them for 18 years, they could arrange enough money for the girl’s wedding when she comes of age.”

” And Piplantri has not stopped at trees. After his wife was told by a traditional doctor that she could cure her chronic back problems by drinking aloe vera juice, Paliwal went on a planting spree of the succulent. Originally for his wife’s use, Paliwal realised that aloe vera also kept termites away from nearby trees and went about planting with even more of a vengeance.” 28 Octobre 2016( click here)

ODDITY

” The need for a quantitative tool to measure differences between tree structures is already apparent. (cf. Dobson (1975), Farris (1973), Sokal and Rohlf (1962), Bobisud and Bobisud (1972)). This paper takes the axioms for a distance function on the collection of partial orders given by Bogart and changes them to a form with more general applications. Axioms(click here) giving a unique distance function on any collection of binary relations are stated and the applications to tree structures and hierarchical classifications are discussed.”

This sounds complicated but they say there is need of at least 1,5 m between two trees. I will ignore this detail, and divide 50 millions to 900 km of the distance and I get 55.555 trees over a kilometre, therefore 55 trees onto a square metre.

I am also confussed by the advertizing on the aloe vera products from Piplantri.

Nevermind where I look at , I will find the same (click here) an empty website.

The initiative(click here) has also helped buoy the town’s economy. To keep termites away from the trees, many of which bear fruit, the village has planted more than 2.5 million aloe vera plants around them. “Gradually, we realized that aloe vera could be processed and marketed in a variety of ways,” the paper quotes one village leader as saying. So the community now produces and markets aloe-based products like juice and gel, among other things.”

So, I have read more than 30 articles to understand that we burn forrests down in the South to plant Trees in the North or similar, that we are being given an example from a poor man from India on how to take care of the future and also, that there are no sales of the Aloe Vera products, Piplantri Brand.

Nevertheless , I have been able to find this in Piplantri :

The villagers tell us that the last sparrows from the mountains have left because of the marble dust from the mountains across, and the rhythmic explosions from the marble mining industries that rock the very foundations of this little village.

This in The Pantanal of Brasil :

The present work is a study and research about gold mining as a main destruction activity in the district of Poconé northem border of the Pantanal in the state of Mato-Grosso. The inadequate way of using mercury during the process of treatment to obtain gold is worring. The study of the fauna and flora of Poconé is a way of contributing to the proc…”

There is also some trouble on mines in Australia :

Australia is teetering on the edge of a massive hole – one left by huge mines that may soon close. As they do, the country is playing a desperate game of catch-up to make sure the mining companies pay for the cleanup. But a legacy of limited environmental requirements means that even if that succeeds, the end of the coal boom will leave Australia pockmarked with unfilled holes.”

And don´t forget Ethiopia:

I don´t understand any of this, I was just looking for the Aloe Vera Piplantri products and seem impossible , I´ll just give up and buy a plant to grow home to spare this continous troubles of reading.

I also apologize for the inconsistency of my research and leave this beautiful song behind, to blame on Mr. Trump for all of this , as usual , with all my social love.

Wilds and Animals

Nature, nurture and so

This picture starts the article
( click)

I was fascinated by this picture, by the look in the eye of both creatures. They observe different. The beautiful bird is watching the camera, the guy aside is too close. Why to bother the bird?

I just don´t get the point.

Let´s say my five years old son see this video.

What am I to say to my son, to convince him not to hug on lions.

Is a lion, he doesn´t like you nor wants you near. Out of food you are useless to this animal. Out of science you are hopeless. Give me a good reason to go to bother a lion on these terms, and I dance the Rictusempra.

( By the way, there is a new storm (click) over Glasgow, happy days folks)

BACK TO WILD ANIMALS
This is more likely to get when bother and is deadly

This is the pure truth, you have to be very trained, aware and equiped, to dare to bother the wild and must be always for a superior reason or there is no reason at all.

Superior means to life.

I LOVE TO SEE PEOPLE WITH AWARNESS
Like this nice guy with some good advice

Is a random video, you can get more from YouTube, nevertheless the message is the same: don´t bother.

If you don´t do any superior good just keep yourself away.

This is real life and you don´t go and say Hello to a tiger, you don´t do that not even on human beings , except for the cases where , submitted to your confidence.

MAY THE GOOD EAGLES BE WITH YOU

THIRD PART ADVICE(click )

” Does the Harpy Eagle Make a Good Pet?

Harpies would not make good pets. They require lots of flying space for exercise to prevent feather breakage and impacts with the sides of the enclosure. These eagles are also quite large and have powerful talons and a sharp beak that can easily tear open human skin.”

So, if beautiful to nurture good thoughts towards the nature whilst keeping up on reality and common sense.

Holocaust Remembrance

Shame on us

They say we don´t have to forget

I am a happy case, talking about books not facts, and its been more than thirty years since I discovered what happened during the Second World War.

The first book I purchased on this argument it was titled The 186 Steps, by Christian Bernadac and I never managed to sleep tight since then.

The aim of Mauthausen was to exterminate the people through exhaustion through forced labour. The SS called this Camp Knochenmuhle,or “bone shredded.” Between 122,766 and 320,000 people, mostly Soviet and Polish citizens, are estimated to have died on August 1, 1928 and ending in May 1945, with the complex liberated by the United States army.

122,766-320,000 died here

The next book was about Auschwitz

Inside the Gas Chambers: Eight Months in the Sonderkimmando of Auschwitz, book by Shlomo Venezia

More than 1.1 million people died at Auschwitz, including nearly one million Jews. Those who were not sent directly to gas chambers were sentenced to forced labor.

I can add titles but the most important to me is The Nuremberg War Crimes Trial of 1945-46: A Brief History with Documents (The Bedford Series in History and Culture)

I have been so shocked to discover this new testimony as I still wonder how can anyone commit such terrible crimes an get away with it for more than half century.

Is like a never ending Nightmare .

Fascism is back in Europe ( click here) and is 2020.

From BBC official site.

I have no understanding of the new chapter of the modern Europe but I do know that is horrible to assist to it. Are we nuts? How can anyone feel like going back to this?

Shame on us. We are bloody hypocrites.

A WELL KNOWN HISTORY OF VIOLENCE

“I’ll keep you from leaving!” he shot twice at his friend.

Rimbaud was three metres away from him, the first projectile touched him in the thick finger joint of his left hand and remained stuck in the body; The second crossed the wall thirty centimetres from the ceiling and was found in the fireplace the next day by the investigating judge. ”

Rimbaud and Verlaine

“Rimbaud took a handkerchief to stop the bleeding. He reached out to Verlaine safe to say goodbye. When he saw the blood-soaked handkerchief, he burst into tears and advanced to Rimbaud by opening his arms:

I’m sorry, i’m sorry. I hurt you!

It’s nothing, it’s nothing.

Take my revolver and kill me!”

Rimbaud and Verlaine

“Rimbaud burst into laughter. After calming down a little bit, the drama actors went to a clinic to bandage the wound. When they returned to the hotel, no one doubted what happened. Rimbaud didn’t want to report his friend. He wanted to leave Brussels as soon as possible. Verlaine asked him again to stay and give up the trip. As Rimbaud kept his, Verlaine decided to accompany him to the station.”

Rimbaud and Verlaine

” Anger has once again taken over Verlaine. “I don’t want you to leave!” The dispute got hot again and she was so violent, passers-by stopped to assist. Suddenly, Verlaine pulled the revolver out of the lip and lifted it in a threatening attitude. Two police officers, who were nearby, snatched his gun and led the two to the police station. Questioned about the origin of his wound, Rimbaud had to tell the story of what had happened. 47 shellcaswere discovered during the search of Verlaine. He was immediately arrested and taken to prison. “

Good Auld Days

TIME TRAVEL TO NORTH SPAIN, LA RIOJA, PEROBLASCO

The litlle fellow above, was the first and last, to come and say Hello, in a village made by , give or take, twenty houses and four or five families.

They have this beautiful Summer Party , titled Of the Smoke , you can observe in the following video, to the minute 14. 00- 14. 14.

Along my pictures, you are able to observe part of what I have been able to see, a normal day of the weekend. If you remember, there was a dog.

We called him Courageous Frodo, Fierceless Frodo and many more names and cuddles, until we got all the possible fleas from its fur and he grow tired of us, I assume. Independently, he was adorable.

Fierceless Frodo

The village, from inside, is a step into a kind of Narnia´s wardrobe, where you feel like an intruder at each given step.

WE KEEP DIGGING
LAST BLOCK OF PICTURES FROM PEROBLASCO, LA RIOJA
THE STAR OF THE PARTY
A symbol of the area of La Rioja: The Vineyard. They don´t produce their own wine though at Peroblasco.

The area is communicated but is always better to get the car and be independent. Many of the villages have no restaurants, so there are cases where you have to choose to sleep into a village, have food in the next one and the coffee at third.

Peroblasco( click here to follow the map) is one of the examples you are able to find on your way , a beautiful place, with barely activity, so if you decide to go to La Rioja , don´t forget to pay a visit, and say hello to Courageous Frodo.

Address to a Haggis

( You can kindly see the translation on Google)

Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face,
Great chieftain o' the pudding-race!
Aboon them a' ye tak your place,
Painch, tripe, or thairm :
Weel are ye wordy o'a grace
As lang's my arm.

The groaning trencher there ye fill,
Your hurdies like a distant hill,
Your pin wad help to mend a mill
In time o'need,
While thro' your pores the dews distil
Like amber bead.

His knife see rustic Labour dight,
An' cut you up wi' ready sleight,
Trenching your gushing entrails bright,
Like ony ditch;
And then, O what a glorious sight,
Warm-reekin', rich!

Then, horn for horn, they stretch an' strive:
Deil tak the hindmost! on they drive,
Till a' their weel-swall'd kytes belyve
Are bent like drums;
Then auld Guidman, maist like to rive,
Bethankit! hums.

Is there that owre his French ragout
Or olio that wad staw a sow,
Or fricassee wad make her spew
Wi' perfect sconner,
Looks down wi' sneering, scornfu' view
On sic a dinner?

Poor devil! see him owre his trash,
As feckless as wither'd rash,
His spindle shank, a guid whip-lash;
His nieve a nit;
Thro' bloody flood or field to dash,
O how unfit!

But mark the Rustic, haggis-fed,
The trembling earth resounds his tread.
Clap in his walie nieve a blade,
He'll mak it whissle;
An' legs an' arms, an' heads will sned,
Like taps o' thrissle.

Ye Pow'rs, wha mak mankind your care,
And dish them out their bill o' fare,
Auld Scotland wants nae skinking ware
That jaups in luggies;
But, if ye wish her gratefu' prayer
Gie her a haggis!

Caravan Palace: One of 5 a Day Music

BACK TO O2 ACADEMY

I am the only one to know that the first part about O2 is unpublished, nevertheless the subtitle remains valid.

PHOTOGRAPHY BY © CAVRONCAST

This beautiful place called O2, is where Caravan Palace band, performed their incredible show last night.

My last guest on Interviews, Arnaud Fillion, confessed his admiration to the the musician: Django Reinhardt , guess what: Caravan Palace follow the same idol. Imagine the sound! ( I shall add the genuine video at the YouTube channel, once I find the way to my passwords and so) is just hypnotic, I wake up this morning still jumping around the house, still full of that energy they gave to the public.

The band is from Paris, France and they have an impressive style.

LISTEN THIS AND TELL ME THAT IS NOT AMAZING

Back to last night, the band did the usual, get the scene.

My love for Caravan  Palace has begun as soon as I discover them, 2010-2011.

Many artists have come to my soul, but the band in question has become part of a group in which I have varied inclusions.(click links to follow) Ciocirlia. Goran  Bregovic,  Teodosi  Spasov and the Peruvian, Klezmer sound, I have flirted with the pure Ney and, when I return to the present, I have bumped into Oi Va Voi

Not long after came Parov Stelar and I promise you that they were on a list of songs by Edith Piaf, blessed user who had the idea of varying  Piaf  with traditional jazz and electronic swing. If your heart melts down with Edith Piaf wait to watch on Caravan Palace.

They’re good. Energetic. They mix sounds that transgress both, Europe and time.  They won’t stop. Neither do your feet, and get ready if you like to dance: your soul rises to a dimension where only Caravan Palace walks.

That’s how O2 Academy Glasgow felt last night.

So, where ever you live at , if Caravan Palace comes near to you, go and say Hello please, to each of the members:
