Shame on us
I am a happy case, talking about books not facts, and its been more than thirty years since I discovered what happened during the Second World War.
The first book I purchased on this argument it was titled The 186 Steps, by Christian Bernadac and I never managed to sleep tight since then.
The aim of Mauthausen was to exterminate the people through exhaustion through forced labour. The SS called this Camp Knochenmuhle,or “bone shredded.” Between 122,766 and 320,000 people, mostly Soviet and Polish citizens, are estimated to have died on August 1, 1928 and ending in May 1945, with the complex liberated by the United States army.
122,766-320,000 died here
The next book was about Auschwitz
More than 1.1 million people died at Auschwitz, including nearly one million Jews. Those who were not sent directly to gas chambers were sentenced to forced labor.
I can add titles but the most important to me is The Nuremberg War Crimes Trial of 1945-46: A Brief History with Documents (The Bedford Series in History and Culture)
Is like a never ending Nightmare .
Fascism is back in Europe ( click here) and is 2020.
From BBC official site.
I have no understanding of the new chapter of the modern Europe but I do know that is horrible to assist to it. Are we nuts? How can anyone feel like going back to this?
Shame on us. We are bloody hypocrites.
